All Care Veterinary Network: Coming Together in the Storm

When the Storm Hit, Our Teams Stepped Up

January’s historic snow and ice storms shut down much of the Atlanta region, but All Care Veterinary Network refused to let pets go without care. Despite dangerous roads and power outages, clinics and staff worked together to provide essential services.

On January 10, Wellspring Animal Hospital in Covington stayed open until 1 pm, one of the only clinics operating within 40 miles. A pet owner from Monroe, GA, made the 20-mile journey seeking care they couldn’t find anywhere else. Staff members drove the treacherous roads, including Practice Manager Carrie Eldridge who picked up three team members. Their dedication allowed the team to perform a crucial emergency surgery.

Beyond the clinic, the commitment continued. When icy roads left a pet owner unable to retrieve life-saving insulin, a Wellspring team member drove as far as possible, then walked the rest of the way to deliver the medication. Thanks to her determination, Tanner, the pet in need, got his insulin just in time.

The entire network worked together to meet the challenges. At Social Circle Veterinary Hospital, a team member traveled to the closed hospital to care for boarded pets. On January 22, when ice barricaded side streets, Wellspring opened at 10 am to perform surgeries and see patients. Conyers Animal Hospital, led by Dr. White and Practice Manager Brittany Gordon, opened at 1 pm with a limited team, ensuring pets still received care.

What stood out most was the dedication to the clients, patients, and one another. Through snow, ice, and uncertainty, All Care Veterinary Network came together, showing that teamwork, communication, and compassion can overcome even unexpected conditions.
